Larry was free falling through the calm blue sky. Then, ‘boing’ – he bounced off a pink, sparkly cloud and continued to fall.

“Hello?’’ exclaimed the bird. “HELP!” screamed Larry.
“Oh, you’re not an arrow at all! You’re a pig and I’m allergic to pork. Bye!”
Larry crashed to the ground and rolled down the steep, white slope of Mount Everest, gathering speed. He was turning into a snowball!
Bang! He hit a very old tree in the frosty forest at the bottom of the mountain and the snow crumbled off him. He sat on the floor a little dazed.
He could hear a voice not too far away – it was looking for something.
“Where are you?” it cried. Larry thought he might be able to help, so he decided to find the owner of the voice.

Fattimus, a plump fairy troll, looked very tearful! He had lost something. ”Are you OK?” asked Larry. “Can I help you?”
“I’ve lost my pet monkey and it’s so cold I need to find him. He’s called ‘Narnas’, short for bananas.”
Larry began to look for clues! He noticed some tiny footprints in the snow and decided to follow them. He tracked all over the forest and noticed that the snow was starting to melt.
He spotted a small shape and recognised it as the monkey.

“Thank you!” squealed Fattimus. “You have made me so happy, you found my best friend. How caring you have been and what kindness you have showed him.”
Monkey climbed onto Larry’s moustache and gave his snout a hug before leaping onto Fattimus. Larry began to comb his moustache to neaten the hairs, but it got stuck on something. Monkey had left him a small letter ‘R’ and Larry knew just where to put it – on his belt!

It was so hot, Larry needed to find some shade. He climbed up a tree, into the canopy, and spotted a cool owl hole where he could rest.
He slipped inside and vanished…
