“I am so excited about the carnival. My grand finale roar will be amazing! Let’s practice so I can master it!” beamed Lion to Cat. He coughed and Cat waited for the fearsome roar.

Silence.

“I can’t believe it!” whimpered Lion, “I’ve lost my roar!”

“Oh dear,” said Cat helplessly.

“Oh double dear” added Lion. “How can I go to the carnival if I have lost my roar?” questioned Lion.

“We must try and get it back,” exclaimed Cat. “Never give up, always keep trying.”

Cat and Lion tried all afternoon, but no roar returned.

“I am not giving up. I will keep trying. I WILL get it back!” announced Lion, defiantly.

The day of the carnival arrived, but still no roar.

“You’ll feel much better when you get up on stage and I’m sure you will be able to roar then,” promised Cat, who had had an idea.

“Okay, I’ll try” stated Lion bravely.

The grand finale came. There is one sure way to make Lion roar – roar with laughter! As Lion nervously opened his mouth, Cat tickled his ribs.
