Gillian the fairy loved peanuts. She ate them for breakfast, lunch and even tea! She loved them so much she had a vault full of them!
One day, Gillian opened the vault and remembered that she had eaten all the peanuts! She quickly got dressed and ran to the Fairy Spar.
“I need some peanuts!” Gillian yelled in a panic.
“I am so sorry, but the kingdom has run out!” shouted the shopkeeper with a tear in his eye.
Distraught, Gillian ran home and locked herself in her magic room. She spent hours making a spectacular invention.
“I’ve done it Feathers, I have invented a machine that can make… PEANUTS!” Gillian nattered to her owl with excitement.
“I just press this button and then enter this number and flick this switch and… HEY PRESTO!”
BOOM!
“Oops, I forgot the machine needs peanut butter, but the kingdom has run out of anything containing peanuts!” she frowned.
“Well, we have a tin of beans in the cupboard.” Gillian said, trying to smile.
So Gillian lived for days and days and days without peanuts. She was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hungry!!!!!
“What are we going to…” she muttered, stopping at the end of her sentence.
SUDDENLY, THE TV TURNED ON!
“Top story tonight!” the news reader cried before the theme music came on. “A peanut factory has been opened! Here is Glitter with the full story!”
“Yes Phil!” Glitter the news reader smiled, “a peanut factory has been opened on Sugar-Lump Road. They have processed thousands and thousands and thousands of peanuts already!”
“Come on Feathers, let’s have a party! And of course get some peanuts. How many sacks does the vault take?”
“Squawk, squawk!” squawked Feathers excitedly.
Gillian invited all the people in the kingdom to her party! The day after the party the door bell rang.
“Have I missed the party?” questioned a figure.
Gillian was so tired that the person at the door was a blur. She rubbed her eyes. “Oh, it’s my old friend Ellie the elephant!” Gillian exclaimed with a smile.
“So, have I missed the party?” Ellie the elephant asked with a frown.
“Oh Ellie, I am SOOOO sorry, but the party was last night!” Gillian explained, starting to look sympathetic.
“Oh well, I will go…” Ellie murmured with a tear in her eye.
“But we could have another party if you want!” Gillian whispered.
“Oh thank you Gillian, you’re the bestest friend in the world!” Ellie said, giving Gillian a massive hug.
So Gillian had another party with all the people in the kingdom and Ellie the elephant.
It was the best party ever and, of course, there were lots and lots and lots of peanuts!
DING DONG. “Who could that be? Oh, look it’s Phil and Glitter from Fairy Report at Six!”
