Once upon a time, there was a magical land of fairies. Everyone was cheerful.

Everyone except one girl, who sat in a tree eating peanuts and looking miserable. Even though she was so scruffy, she was awfully wise. Her mother, one of the main fairy godmothers, was always trying to make her smile; but no matter how hard she tried, she just couldn’t fit in.
“Try to join in Sparkle, and smarten up. You are a fairy darling, not a goblin! I just came to tell you that there is a meeting in the hall and everyone must attend.”
“I can’t stick these boring meetings. I don’t see the point in them. The only reason that I go is because they do an amazing feast afterwards, with peanuts, yum yum.”
“Well, I must leave you now, my dear. See you in five minutes.”
At the meeting, the queen had an announcement. “Now everyone, something terrible has happened. Somebody has mixed up three famous fairy tales. So some kind, willing fairy has to go through each book and fix them. Now, who will go on this mission?”
“Well, I say that we pick Sparkle to go, because she never contributes to anything, so I think it should be her. The chances are that she did it anyway,” accused Susan.
“Hey, I didn’t ruin those rotten fairy tales. Besides, there is nothing to ruin, they’re all the same, so why me?” complained Sparkle.
“Actually, I think that is a very good idea,” said the queen. “It will probably teach you a lesson about being a nice fairy and being kind and considerate to all the other girls. So, it is all settled. Sparkle will go to each of the books and fix everything. Now, I have written down a list of everything that you need to repair.”
What you need to do:
1. Little Red Riding Hood wants to get her grandma back, but the big bad wolf ate her and refused to spit her out.
2. Snow White is ill after eating an apple and her prince is lost in the forest.
3. Rapunzel wants her prince, but someone has chopped her hair off.
“You shall leave at dawn tomorrow and will sort out all of the things that are on the list and, if not completed, banishment shall be your punishment.”
“Isn’t that a bit harsh don’t you think?”, Sparkle protested. “What if I get caught in a cage and never come back alive.”
“Well you will just have to be extra careful then won’t you?” replied the queen. “Now then everyone, there is a buffet in the Grand Hall, so let’s go party!”
Sparkle sat alone in her tree and cried. She didn’t understand why everyone hated her so much and yet now, she had to go and sort out those fairy tales.
That night she couldn’t sleep.
In the morning, she was woken by the twinkling sound of wings and that was the signal that she had to go.
“Goodbye my dear, and don’t fret,” said Sparkle’s mother. “You will be back home soon. Goodbye!”
Sparkle jumped up and she did a dive into the book Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. With a swirl of sparkles she was standing in a strange forest and a prince with a sword was staring at her like she was from outer space.

“Well what are you looking at?” she demanded, “I came here to help you, so stop staring because we need to find the cottage and you need to kiss that so-called princess so I can get out of here!”
They started to look for the cottage when suddenly Sparkle saw a faint blur of brown and started running frantically towards it. It was Bashful the dwarf, all dressed in brown and standing next to a sleeping Snow White.
“You must kiss her! It is the only way that you can save her,” cried Sparkle to the prince.
So, the prince bent down and kissed Snow White on the lips. She woke up and screamed.
“OMG you are soooo unattractive. I’m off.” She jumped on her horse and sped off.
“Well if she doesn’t need you, I do!” Sparkle grabbed the prince’s hand and dived into the next story: Rapunzel. She found herself in a mysterious castle which needed a gigantic spring clean. Rapunzel was in the corner and all of her hair was chopped off. She had a full on skin head!

“What happened to YOU?” Sparkle giggled, trying not to laugh, and her eyes darted to the floor, staring at the endless stream of golden hair.
“Oh, it’s awful isn’t it? The Wicked Witch of the West came and chopped it off because she thought I was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. I screamed and shouted for all I was worth, but she just chopped it off!”
“Wow, things have really been mixed up around here, but here is your precious prince. He will make a wig for you from your hair and I need to go, bye,” she said, diving into the next story: Little Red Riding Hood.
Sparkle found herself in a house, where she saw a wolf that was smiling sheepishly with a grandma-shaped bump in his tummy and a girl with a red cloak, who she guessed was Red Riding Hood.
“Okay. Spit her out or else!” Sparkle commanded.
“I will spit her out this minute!” cried the Big Bad Wolf, “but you have to promise me a lifetime supply of Ferocious Chocolates. They are my absolute favourites!”
So Sparkle produced a basket filled to the brim of chocolates. Grandma was spat out and the beast began to wolf the chocolates down.”
“WOW! I have finished!” Sparkle shouted and she flew off home.
“Well you did it. You won’t be banished!”declared her proud mother.
Well done dear!” cried the fairy godmothers. “You have finally realised that being true to yourself and helping others is the best way to make yourself happy and to be a good fairy”.
